About

My name is Serena and I’m a freelance translator and language consultant based near Brighton, in the UK. I work from German into English, specialising in for-publication texts in the fields of marketing, press and PR.

I hold a BSc in Modern Languages French and German from Aston University (2004) and I’m currently working towards an MA in Translation Studies from the University of Birmingham in addition to my full-time translation work.

I work with various clients in the UK and across Europe, ranging from international blue-chips to translation companies. Although my clients operate in a wide range of sectors, I have particular experience in translating marketing material for the automotive sector.

When I’m not translating, you can find me attending translation and marketing-related events, reading, travelling and enjoying the Sussex countryside.
